A safer ritual
Candle Care
Effective July 29, 2026
Before every burn
Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before lighting. Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris. Place the candle upright on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
The first burn
Allow the melt pool to reach close to the vessel’s edge to encourage an even burn. Do not burn longer than four hours at a time, or longer than the safety label directs.
While burning
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from children, pets, drafts, vents, fans, curtains and flammable objects. Keep burning candles several inches apart and never move a candle while the wax is hot or liquid.
When to stop
Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom. Burning beyond that point can overheat the vessel. Allow the candle and vessel to cool completely before handling.
Important
Always follow the warning label included with your candle. If the vessel becomes damaged, excessively hot, cracked or otherwise unsafe, extinguish the flame and discontinue use.
